How to Configure Membership Deletion Settings

On the Group Details window, super admins can decide how memberships of certain groups are handled at the end of a user's retention period. These settings allow you to control which memberships are kept or removed when users are queued for deletion from your MSL System.

There are three options to choose from:

  • Memberships will not be deleted - Users with any membership status (pending, current, suspended, expired, etc.) in this group will not have their memberships deleted, preventing the user from being deleted.
  • Delete expired memberships only - Users with pending or current memberships in this group will not have their memberships deleted, preventing the user from being deleted. Only users with expired memberships will be deleted.
  • Delete all memberships, regardless of status - All memberships in this group (pending, current, suspended, expired, etc.) will be deleted if the user is due for deletion, allowing the user to be deleted.

For information about when a user is due for deletion under your MSL System's data retention schedule, see Data Retention.

You can access this feature from the MSL Admin site. Only Super Admins with Membership Admins or Site Admins permissions can access the Group Details window.
