How to Change an Election's Organisation

You can access this feature from your MSL website. Only Content Editors with access to Elections Admin and with permission to edit elections at the MSL Membership System root Organisation (Group ID: 0) can change an election’s organisation.

Before you proceed, the selected organisation must be higher up in the grouping tree than all of the Election’s post groups.

Changing the election’s organisation may alter visibility and eligibility.

1. Log in to your MSL website.
2. From the Admin dropdown, select Elections Admin. The Elections Admin window is displayed.

3. From the list of Elections, select the relevant election. The Edit Election window is displayed.

4. In the Election section, next to the Organisation field, click the Change Organisation linkfield. The Change Organisation dialog is displayed.

5. In the New Organisation field, either:

   1. Start typing the Name of your Organisation or the Organisation ID to which the Election will belong, then select the relevant one from the dropdown that is displayed.

   2. Click the Grouping Tree icon (). The grouping tree is displayed. Click Expand () to display the contents of a node, and click one item to select. The selected item is entered into the New Organisation field.

6. Click Change. You are returned to the Edit Election window.
