News Widgets

Use News List widgets to display and organise your articles. With News widgets, you can present a list of articles and the latest article comments, all with the option to filter and customise your display preferences. The "Personalise News" field in the News List widget helps you to curate lists containing articles written by the logged-in user's favourite groups or groups they're a member of - ideal for a personal touch on a profile page.

News Lists offer versatile display options, such as a slider on your homepage or blocks on a Recent Articles page. You can also opt to create a separate news article display page, ensuring seamless integration with your website. By creating a custom news article display page, your readers will remain within the relevant areas of your MSL website, for example a microsite for Welcome Week or a Staff Intranet. For further information, see How to Change the Article Display Page URL for a News List.

To customise the news articles displayed on the /news/ page, the page type needs to be changed from a system page to a normal page, allowing you to add a  News List widget to the page instead. Contact support@ukmsl.com for assistance.
