How to Bulk Add a Membership Group to Child Groups

You can access this feature from the MSL Admin site. Only Super Admins with Membership Admins or Site Admins permissions can access the Bulk Add Groups window.

  1. Log in to your MSL Admin site at https://[domainname]/msl/. The Home menu is displayed.

  2. From the Home menu, select Groups. The Groups submenu is displayed.

  3. In the Search for groups section, either:
    1. Enter the Group Name or Group ID. Click Search. A list of Groups is displayed.
    2. Filter using one or more of the fields:
      • From the Organisation dropdowns, select an option
      • From the Membership dropdowns, select an option
  4. Click to select the relevant Group. The Group’s configuration menu is displayed.
  5. From the Group's configuration menu, select Child Groups. The Child Groups window is displayed.
  6. Click Bulk Add Groups. The Bulk Add Groups window is displayed.
  7. From the Parent Group Type dropdown, select the type of group to which you want to add new child groups, for example Society, or Sports Club.
  8. From the Type dropdown, select the specific type of group you want to add, for example Membership, or Committee.
  9. From the Category dropdown, select an option.
  10. In the Name field, enter the name for the new groups.
  11. If needed, select the Create Default Requirements checkbox.
  12. Click Add Groups. A confirmation dialog is displayed.
  13. Click Yes. A confirmation message is displayed, showing:
    • The number of groups created.
    • The number of existing groups that matched the criteria and were not created.
    • Any errors encountered during the group creation process.
