Attendance makes it easy to maintain records of students, staff and visitors to your meeting rooms, event venues, conferences and other locations where a ticket isn't required for entry. It is a component of the Door Entry & Venues Management module but if you don't have venues then the Attendance module can be installed on your MSL System as a separate facility.
With options for attended or unattended use, Attendance monitors entrances and exits using visitor or University ID cards, or manually entered contact details. Scanners can be used in conjunction with Attendance to record entrances and/ or exits quickly and easily.
The Attendance station - like other MSL System modules - records the University ID or other visitor ID via text input, so any hardware setup that can output the ID number as text can be used. The exact hardware setup you can use will depend on the format of your ID cards and what readers are compatible with those. You may want to consult your University or other institution to check which readers work best.
