How to Admit Attendees Using the Door Entry Station

You can access this feature from your MSL System Admin site. Only Super Admins with Door Entry Operators, Door Entry Supervisors or Site Admins permissions can access the Door Entry station.
Door Entry Operators and Door Entry Supervisors should access the Door Entry station via the direct link https://[sitecode].admin.ukmsl.net/doorentry/.

  1. Log in to your MSL System Admin site at https://[domainname]/msl/. The Home menu is displayed.
  2. From the Home menu, select Events. The Events submenu is displayed.
  3. Select Door Entry. The Door Entry Station login window is displayed.
  4. Enter your MSL System Admin site username and password, and click Log in. The Door Entry Station Setup window is displayed.
  5. Select an Entry Point. A list of Events set to use this entry point are displayed.
  6. Next to the relevant Event, click Select. The Door Entry Station Entry window is displayed where entry options are redeemed.
  7. In the Search field, enter the Person ID, Card Number or Name of the user, or the Transaction Reference Number or Ticket Code and click Search. If there‚Äôs more than one match, a Select Attendee dialog is displayed. Otherwise, the user is selected.
  8. In the Select Attendee dialog, next to the relevant user, click Select. You are returned to the Entry window.
  9. When the attendee is selected, the Door Entry Station checks if the selected attendee has a valid entry option for the Event in the following order:
    1. Is the Attendee on the Banned List?
      • If the selected attendee is on the Banned List, a Banned dialog is displayed.
      • Click Close. You are returned to the Entry window, and the attendee cannot be admitted into the Event.
    2. Does the Attendee meet the Age Requirements set for the Event?
      • If a minimum or maximum age has been set for the Event, and the selected attendee does not meet the age requirements, an Age Requirements Not Met message is displayed on the Entry window.
      • Either click Reset if the attendee cannot be admitted to the Event, or next to the relevant entry option, click Redeem.
    3. Does the Attendee have a valid ticket for the Event on their account, or is the Ticket information provided valid for the Event?
      1. If the selected attendee's ticket or the ticket information provided is valid, next to the relevant entry option, click Redeem.
      2. If the selected attendee's ticket or the ticket information provided is valid, but the Latest entrance time set has passed, the entry option is labelled as Expired and cannot be redeemed. Click Reset.
    4. Is the Attendee on a Guest List linked to the Event?
      1. If the selected attendee is on a guest list linked to the event, next to the relevant entry option, click Redeem.
      2. If the selected attendee is on a guest list linked to the event, but the Latest entrance time set has passed, the entry option is labelled as Expired and cannot be redeemed. Click Reset.
  10. If ID Required options are selected for the entry option, once Redeem is clicked, further dialog(s) are displayed:
    • ID Required
      • In the Name field, enter the name of, and optionally select the user redeeming the ticket. You can search for the user via their Person ID, Card Number or Name.
      • Set the Identification shown by selecting a radio button, or;
      • In the Other ID Shown field, enter the type of ID shown.
      • Click OK.
    • Photo ID Required
      • If required, click Flip Camera to select a camera.
      • Click Take Photo. Click Retake Photo to take another photo, or click OK to select the photo.
  11. Once all entry options linked to the account are redeemed, a No Entry Options dialog is displayed.
  12. Click either Close or Close, and don't show again. You are returned to the Entry window.
  13. Should the Door Entry Operator select a user whose entry options are already redeemed, a No Entry Options message is displayed, and the entry option(s) are labelled as Redeemed.
