How to Enable ClickOnce

If you face any problems enabling ClickOnce, contact your IT department for help, or alternatively, try launching the Web Application instead.

Microsoft Edge


  1. Log in to your MSL Admin site at https://[domainname]/msl/. The Home menu is displayed.
  2. From the Home menu, select Applications. When launching an Application for the first time on your device, you'll see the ClickOnce dialog, as shown below in the Edge browser.
  3. Click on the linkfield in the ClickOnce dialog to copy the edge://flags/#edge-click-once URL, then paste it into the address bar. A list of results is displayed.
  4. In the ClickOnce Support section, from the dropdown, select Enabled. A Restart button is displayed.
  5. Click Restart. Microsoft Edge is restarted and ClickOnce is enabled.


Google Chrome


  1. Log in to your MSL Admin site at https://[domainname]/msl/. The Home menu is displayed.
  2. From the Home menu, select Applications. When launching an Application for the first time on your device, you'll see the ClickOnce dialog, as shown below in the Chrome browser.
  3. Click the linkfield in the ClickOnce dialog, or alternatively, enter https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/cegid-peoplenet-clickonce/jkncabbipkgbconhaajbapbhokpbgkdc?hl=en in the address bar. The ClickOnce Launcher extension page is displayed. 
  4. Click Add to Chrome. A confirmation dialog is displayed.
  5. Click Add extension. A confirmation message is displayed.
